How to withdraw Telegram Stars
To withdraw Telegram Stars, open your bot or channel’s Stars balance, tap Withdraw, confirm with your two-step verification password, and finish on Fragment, Telegram’s official exchange. Fragment pays you in Gram (formerly Toncoin), which you then sell for your own currency. Each Star can be withdrawn 21 days after you earn it, from a minimum of 1,000 Stars (about $13).

What are Telegram Stars?
Telegram Stars are Telegram’s own in-app currency. Fans buy them inside Telegram, from the App Store, Google Play or Fragment, and spend them on digital goods and services: unlocking a video, a paid post, a subscription, a tip.
When fans pay you in Stars, through your bot, your channel or other paid features, the Stars land in your balance. Those earned Stars have a cash value, and this guide is how you turn them into money.
The rules: 21-day hold and 1,000-Star minimum
Telegram sets a few conditions for every creator, on every platform. Check these first and you will never be surprised by a greyed-out button.
Each Star unlocks after 21 days
Stars you earn are held for 21 days from the moment you receive them. Your balance shows what is available now and what is still pending. Stars unlock on a rolling basis, so something unlocks every day you have sales.
The minimum withdrawal is 1,000 Stars
You need at least 1,000 available Stars to start a withdrawal. That’s about $13. Below that, keep selling and withdraw later. Your Stars do not expire.
Only earned Stars can be withdrawn
Stars you receive from sales can be withdrawn. Stars you bought for yourself cannot be turned back into money.
Only the owner can withdraw
The withdrawal is made by the Telegram account that owns the bot or channel, and it’s protected by that account’s two-step verification password.
How much are Telegram Stars worth in USD?
Stars pay out at a fixed rate of roughly $0.013 per Star. Fragment shows you the exact amount before you confirm anything.

Why is that less than fans pay? Fans buying Stars on a phone pay App Store or Google Play prices, which include the app stores’ cut. The payout rate is the same no matter how the fan bought them.
One-time setup
Do these once, before your first withdrawal. After that, cashing out takes a couple of minutes.
Turn on two-step verification
In Telegram, go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Two-Step Verification and set a password. Telegram asks for it every time you withdraw, and the withdraw option doesn’t work without it.
Get a wallet for Gram
The easiest option is Wallet, which is built right into Telegram. If Wallet isn’t available where you live, use Tonkeeper or another wallet on the TON network. Fragment connects to it in one tap.
Have your ID handy
Fragment may ask you to verify your identity before your first withdrawal: a photo of an ID document and a quick selfie. It’s a one-time check.
How to withdraw Telegram Stars, step by step
Open your Stars balance
Open the Stars balance of the bot or channel that earned them. For a bot you own, it’s on the bot’s profile. For a channel, look in its monetization or statistics section.
Tap Withdraw
Choose how many available Stars to withdraw (at least 1,000) and tap the withdraw button, which opens Fragment.
Enter your two-step verification password
Telegram asks for your password to prove the withdrawal is really you.
Connect your wallet on Fragment
Fragment opens with your withdrawal ready. Connect your Wallet (or Tonkeeper) so it knows where to send your Gram.
Check the amount and confirm
Fragment shows exactly how much Gram you’ll receive. Confirm it. If Fragment asks you to verify your ID, do that now. It’s only needed once.
Receive your Gram
The Gram usually arrives in your wallet within seconds to a minute.
How to turn Gram into cash in your bank
Once the Gram is in your wallet, you sell it for your own currency. The common ways:
In Wallet: sell your Gram inside Telegram’s Wallet, including through its peer-to-peer market where available, and have the money paid to your bank or card.
On a crypto exchange: send the Gram to an exchange that lists it, sell it for dollars, euros or your local currency, and withdraw to your bank.
Keep it: you can also hold Gram, or send it to anyone with a TON wallet. It’s yours.
Why can’t I withdraw my Telegram Stars?
If the withdraw button is missing or greyed out, it’s almost always one of these:
Fewer than 1,000 available Stars. Pending Stars don’t count until their 21 days are up.
Your Stars are still in the 21-day hold. Check the available vs. pending split in your balance.
Two-step verification is off. Turn it on in Privacy and Security, then try again.
You’re not the owner. Only the account that owns the bot or channel can withdraw.
They’re bought Stars, not earned ones. Purchased Stars can’t be withdrawn.
Your wallet isn’t connected. Connect Wallet or Tonkeeper on Fragment, and complete ID verification if asked.
You’re connected through a VPN. A VPN or proxy can block the withdrawal. Turn it off before you withdraw, then try again.

How long does a Telegram Stars withdrawal take?
On Fragment it’s fast: the Gram usually reaches your wallet within seconds to a minute. Selling it and getting money to your bank then depends on your method, from minutes (peer-to-peer or instant bank transfer) to a few business days. Remember each Star first has to finish its 21-day hold.
How much is 1,000 Telegram Stars in USD?

Is there a fee to withdraw Telegram Stars?
Telegram doesn’t add a separate withdrawal fee on top of the payout rate. You may pay a tiny network fee, and whatever your exchange or payout method charges when you sell the Gram.
Can I withdraw Telegram Stars directly to my bank, card or PayPal?
No. Fragment is the only official way to cash out Stars, and it pays in Gram. You then sell the Gram for your currency (in Wallet or on an exchange) and withdraw that to your bank.
Can I withdraw Stars I bought?
No. Only Stars you earned from fans (through a bot, a channel or other paid features) can be withdrawn. Stars you purchased are for spending inside Telegram.
Do I need to verify my identity?
Fragment may ask for a one-time identity check (an ID document and a selfie) before your first withdrawal. After that, you don’t need to repeat it.
Is TON still used for Telegram Stars withdrawals?
Yes. It’s just called Gram now. Toncoin was renamed Gram (GRAM) on June 15, 2026. It runs on the same TON network, so nothing changes for your wallet.
What if Wallet isn’t available in my country?
Use Tonkeeper, or any other wallet on the TON network that Fragment can connect to. Everything else works the same.
Is there a maximum withdrawal?
Telegram caps how many Stars you can withdraw in one go. At the time of writing, the limit is 25,000,000 Stars (about $325,000) per withdrawal. If your balance is bigger than that, just start another withdrawal for the rest.
Can I use my Stars without withdrawing them?
Yes. Bot and channel owners can also spend earned Stars on Telegram Ads at a discounted rate, which is useful if you promote your channel.
